Absence of Discrimination In Criminal Justice

This sub-sub-indicator assesses the extent to which the criminal system is impartial. This is based on the following criteria: the extent to which the police are impartial and do not discriminate; there is no discrimination in the criminal process with respect to income, gender, ethnic group, religious beliefs, country of origin and sexual orientation; judges are not biased against marginalised people (discrimination based on social or economic status).
