Affordable Urban Housing

This sub-indicator measures urban housing afordability, expressed as the ratio between the price (current US$) of the cheapest newly built house by a formal developer or contractor in an urban area and the pre-tax per capita income (current US$) of the bottom 40% of earners in a given country.
