Transparency of Judicial Reasoning

This sub-sub-indicator assesses the extent to which judges routinely provide formal reasoning for their rulings, their reasoning references the laws/jurisprudence they considered and the specific interpretation they gave in relation to the case, and their reasoning is public (national security exceptions are allowed).
