Absence of Non-state Armed Conflict

This sub-sub-indicator measures the number of non-state armed conflicts within a country's territory. Non-state armed conflict is defined by UCDP as the use of armed force between two organised armed groups, neither of which is the government of a state, which results in at least 25 battle-related deaths in a year. If a conflict spans across borders and takes place in multiple locations, the conflict is coded by MIF by adding it to the count for each affected country/year.
