Laws On Violence Against Women

This indicator assesses the extent to which there are laws and regulations on violence against women by assessing whether there is legislation specifically addressing domestic violence, there is legislation on sexual harassment in employment, there are criminal penalties or civil remedies for sexual harassment in employment, whether the law is free of legal provisions that require a married woman to obey her husband, and whether a woman can obtain a judgment of divorce in the same way as a man.
