Timeliness of Criminal Justice

This sub-sub-indicator assesses the timeliness of the criminal adjudication system. This is based on the following criteria: time taken to convict a suspect of a crime; how long a detained suspect can remain in custody without a formal conviction; the extent to which there are delays in the criminal justice system.
