Citizen Complaint Mechanisms

This sub-sub-indicator assesses the extent to which there are effective mechanisms to make complaints about public services and local government officials. It also assesses the extent to which residents have the opportunity to present objections or comments to the relevant government authorities prior to the start of a construction project, and the extent to which in law and in practice citizens can effectively challenge denials of information requests before another government agency or a judge.
